Manchester-based Roma Finance has made two senior appointments as the lender continues to deliver on its ambitious growth strategy to double its loan book by 2026.
Richard Wilfan has joined as a Senior Business Development Manager for the North, while Joshua O’Leary takes up the role of Senior Relationship Manager for the South.
Wilfan joins Roma with 17 years’ experience in the specialist finance sector. He spent eight years at Together, progressing from administration to Team Leader and Underwriter, before moving to Goldentree as a Business Development Manager, where he spent nine years.
O’Leary brings five years’ experience in real estate finance; all gained at brokerage Mackenzie Byrne as Director of Development and Structured Finance. Here, he focused on ground-up residential projects and structured deals involving senior lenders and third-party equity.
The appointments follow strong growth for Roma throughout 2025, during which the business has significantly expanded its product offering and processes, secured additional funding lines, increased its loan book to £250 million and won numerous industry awards.
Michael Allison, Commercial Director at Roma Finance, said: “2025 has been an exceptional year for us, with record-breaking months and multiple product launches. Strengthening our commercial team is key to supporting our customers and brokers, as well as ensuring our ambitious, transparent targets are achieved through a talent driven sales strategy.”
Richard Wilfan, added: “I’m excited to join Roma Finance at such a pivotal time for the business. The team’s focus on innovation and delivering strong outcomes for brokers and their customers aligns perfectly with my experience and approach, and I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth.”
